On a wired Somfy motor there is no remote: everything is set from the up/down wall switch, using simultaneous-press sequences that act as a programming "menu".
The double power-cut that returns the motor to setting mode
The "double cut" method means cutting then restoring power to a precise rhythm: cut for 2 seconds, restore for 8 seconds, cut for 2 seconds, restore. The motor then runs for a few seconds: it is back in factory setting mode.
Reprogramming the stops
- Bring the curtain to the desired top point with the switch.
- Press up and down simultaneously: the curtain jogs briefly.
- Lower to the desired bottom point, then repeat the simultaneous press.
- Confirm by holding the up key until the confirmation movement.
Our field advice
- Always work on a single powered motor at a time
- Note the chosen positions: useful for a future part replacement
- A motor that regularly loses its stops is nearing the end of its electronics' life
